Hi guys,
we are trying to activate trace through E2E Trace Analysis, but we are getting this error:
An Exception occured when executing commands com.sap.sup.admin.e2e.trace.api.activation.EnableAbapTracingCommand_ERP : com.sap.sup.admin.e2e.trace.api.util.command.E2ETraceCommandException: Could not execute command for system ERP:Tracing cannot be enabled. Reason: Error occured when calling /SDF/E2E_ENABLE_TRACE via RFC destination SM_ERPCLNT300_READ in ERP : Returncode = 4 Check location com.sap.sup.admin.e2e.trace.for details
The RFC "SM_ERPCLNT300_READ" is an RFC created on Solman and connects to ERP central instance on client 300.
Which could be the cause?
Regards
Hello Yassir
I would first suggest you double check the authorizations of your read user in your ERP client 300 system. Turn on a security trace for that read user, then try to re-enable the E2E trace from solman and check the security trace results.
If authorizations are missing, rerun the solman_setup > managed system configuration
Hope this helps.
best regards
Francois

Hi Yassir
Did you see anything in the security trace? e.g. has your read user connected to the ERP managed system when you were trying to set the E2E trace on?
If your ERP is EHP7, please look at note 1478974 - Diagnostics in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 :
SAP Netweaver: all tools supported for 7.40
E2E TA requires applying SAP note 1729771 on Managed system, unless profile parameter rstr/accept_remote_trace is set.
cheers
Francois
