Password notification in SAP ARM

Hi Guys,

We face an issue with password notification to the user. As part of the provisioning notification to the user we used variable %PROVISIONING% to communicate the password and the role details to the user. The user is getting notified only with the roles and there is no password.

The same setup works fine in the development.

I have the below settings.,

- SPRO-> GRC -> Access Control-> User Provisioning -> Maintain provisioning Settings -> Maintain Global Provisioning Configuration and change the Send Password under EMAIL status to YES

- SPRO -> GRC -> Access Control -> Workflow for Access Control -> Maintain MSMP workflows.

In MSMP, under maintain paths,

Notification Event - END_OF_REQUEST
Template Id - Z_GRAC_AR_CLOSE
Recipient Id - GRAC_USER

Template Z_GRAC_AR_CLOSE has the variable %PROVISIONING%.

Even with these settings the notifications has only the role information provisioned and no password or password link.

Any suggestions.

Thanks everyone. The settings itself is correct.

As mentioned the the DEV GRC system is working fine. Notification is sent with password. Its only the PRD GRC where the password is not in the notification.

To rule out the issue between GRC and target system we did two things.,

- Created connector from DEV GRC to production target system (no password in notification)

- Created connector from PRD GRC to development target system (successful. password present in the notification)

So now we have isolated the issue, its with the target system which is not sending the password (getting generated though when checked in SU01)

Any suggestions.

I am facing the same issue in my dev GRC system ; can you suggest if you had resolved the issue.

Hi Muthu,

Are you maintaining password under System details tab manually while creating access request?

If the password is not maintained under the System Details Tab, %PROVISIONING% in notification GRAC_AR_CLOSE should contain all the information for the User.

Hey,

check the provisioning setting in the User provisioning section in  SPRO, as there is the password setting you can maintain there.
