Question about RBA & Multilevel ATP in gATP

Hi folks,

  I have a question regarding gATP RBA & mulitlevel ATP ..

  We have a requirement where for a finished product 'A0001' (gATP relevent), first a location substitution rule should trigger, for eg, if finished product 'A0001' is requested from plant 1000, and if stock is not availble in that plant, then search in alternate locations let's say, plant 2000 and then 3000...

Next, if the finished product 'A0001' is not found in any of these three plants, then multilevel ATP check should kick in, i.e. it should be substituted by equal quantity of two products B0001 & 'C0001' to form the finished good A0001. Again location substitution rules kick in for components B0001 & C0001, i.e. searching for these components B0001 & C0001 in all three plants 1000/2000/3000.

Please let me know how should I configure this in gATP & ECC. Also, we are not using production planning, so no production version and routing maintained...But we have the BOM for the finished good...

Hi Rupa Rao,

If you are looking for location substitution - (RBATP) we define a rule based on Loc. Determination Procedures where we specify list of plants or substitutes. If stock is not available in Plant 1000 then system will search for Plant 2000. i.e., In LDP we specify list of plants 1) 1000 and 2) 2000. So, system will check for alternate location/plant.

For MATP you need BOMs, when BOM explode RBATP check can happen at item level.
