Creating a Self-Signed Certificate Using OpenSSL

Hi, We are in a process of deploying SMP2.3/WorkManager6.0 and need the PFX file generated.

Have followed the link Creating a Self-Signed Certificate Using OpenSSL but no luck.

The error is as follows and i gave followed every discussion on SCN but no luck so far.

Requesting Public key from server

Connect to server 'XXXSAPMPD', Certificate is for 'XXXSAPMPD', so it is not valid

Communication error(14)

Connection failed

I have tried IP address instead of FQDN but nothing has worked so far.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Suhas

Hi Suhas,

Did you copy .SST file in WPF client installation directory?

If not, You need to delete an existing .SST file and add one which you have created by converting .cer file to .sst.

The original sst file when double clicked does open and shows the Agentry self signed certificate inside but when i make .sst from .cer, i am unable to open the .sst file. Am i missing anything?

Thanks,Suhas

Try using the Fully Qualified domain name when you create the certificate

I am already using FQDN.

XXXSAPMPD is actually HOSTNAME.DOMAIN.COM
