SAP PI Message Cancellation Alert - Message does not have restartable error status

Hello SCNers

Version: 7.1

Scenario: File --> PI -->SOAP

We have a situation where a PI message  in Integration Engine shows error status.We want to cancel the message in IE but are unable to do so.

On clicking Cancel for this message in SXMB_MONI, we are receiving an alert "Message does not have restartable error status".

In SXMSPMAST table, value for ITFACTION is DEL.

We do not want to run report RSXMB_DEL_TO_ARCH, that would change status of all messages with DEL status to ARCH.

Is there a way to Cancel or Change the Status of this single message?

Hi Sudheer - What about executing the report "RSXMB_CANCEL_NOT_REST_MESSAGES"

Hi Sudheer - You could also try with RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES for that particular message ID if not already done..

If messages is not in status cancel or any other state (other than final) even after running RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES report as an extreme step, you may use report RXWF_XI_UNUSED_MSGS to convert these messages status to final state (i.e. 003), consequently the subsequent run of Archive and Delete jobs will take care of next course of action. *Important Note - You are highly recommended to experiment running RXWF_XI_UNUSED_MSGS report in Testing Environment before running the same in Production environment.

Hi Hareesh,

Tried that too, but to no avail.

Strangely, the log shows NO_ERROR_STATE for the cancelation of this message thru RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES.

But in SXMSPMAST table the status of this message is 14 (System Error - Manual Restart Possible).

Hi,

please check note 1478927 XI runtime: Inconsistent message status 14/03 and use the report Z_ADJUST_MSG_STATE_MASTER_TAB to correct the status if necessary.

I couldn't find the report Z_ADJUST_MSG_STATE_MASTER_TAB in PI 7.1

Maybe it was supported in older versions of XI.

Hi Sudheer - It won't be there in the system.. It is attached to the note.

So you might have to import it and execute it..
