Hi All,

I am getting Error at VA01

No item category available (Table T184 ZST NORM  )

Message no. V1320

I have refereed the SDN thread for the same problem and i did all possible thing that i was missed but still problem in not resolved.

1. I have checked Item cat assign

     Sales Doc Type    - ZST

     Item cat.group     - ZMTL

     ItemCat-HgLvItm - ZHDR

     Item category      - ZITM

2.Check in Material Master

   GenItemCatGroup - ZMTL or ZHDR both i have try

Kindly provide me if any sol for the same.....

Hi Sandeep,

Please check the Item Category Group field beside Gen. Item cat. grp from material master data under Sales: sales org. 2. Based on the configuration provided, it should be maintained with ZMTL to derive ZITM item category.

As per Prakash said about the combination in above thread.

Material Assignment like In that you can see GenItemCatGroup - ZHDR

Please suggest me what should i mention in GenItemCatGroup - ZHDR or ZMTL etc .

I have tried both but still same error...

Hi Sandeep,

I suggest you check the maintained item category group from the material master data under Sales: sales org 2. tab.

The maintained value should be the same on the configured item category group, which in your case, is ZHDR.

Hi Sandeep,

Please check if your item is completely maintained for sales area you are using in your sales document. Here is a sample material master data that needs to be accomplished for item category determination.

Hope this helps. Just let me know if same error is encountered after you have maintained the item category group.

As rightly suggested by Lessa, in Item Category determination, system considers MVKE-MTPOS(Item category group) not MARA-MTPOS_MARA(Gen. item cat. grp).

In Sales: Sales Org. 2 View you need to provide releavnt plant, SOrg & Distri Channel in Org Levels to to MVKE-MTPOS(Item category group)

Your error message clearly suggest, it is looking for following combination

Sales Doc Type	Item cat.group	Item Category
ZST	NORM	????

Not

Sales Doc Type	Item cat.group	ItemCat-HgLvItm	Item category
ZST	ZMTL	ZHDR	ZITM

For getting the above combination, 1st system should determine following combination in sales order.

Sales Doc Type	Item cat.group	ItemCat-HgLvItm	Item category
ZST	ZHDR		Say, ZTAN

But i have checked in Item Category assignment from path

SPRO: Sales and Distribution -> Sales -> Sales Document Item -> Assign Item Categories

But it is there and i think its fine

can you clearly mention which sales document your are assigning and item category you

are assigning and its item category in detail.
