CIF variant tables (VC) from ECC to SCM(APO)

Dear Experts,

Is it possible to transfer variant tables from ECC to APO

does APO is design to understand variant tables

i was told variant tables cannot be used in APO

but understand OD can be transferred but not variant tables , if we have so many variants in variant configuration what is the alternative to Variant tables as we are into CDP

It is not possible to CIF Variant Tables or Variant Table contents. It is however possible to ALE both of these objects. This requires a bit of ALE setup but pretty simple.

Object Dependencies are CIF'ed along with PDS.

If we transfer variant table via ALE does APO recognise variant table like object depency

Hi Raj

Yes, object dependencies are transferred with CIF of PDS to APO. Support for object dependencies in planning is limited to certain functionalities - I believe PPDS supports OD's with Variant Tables but CTM does not. Other engines like optimizer, Heuristic do not support any OD's.
