smq1 and smq2 monitoring using solution manager 7.1

Can someone provide step by step process for setting up qrfc monitoring smq1 and smq2 using solution manager 7.1

execute solman_setup

select technical monitoring

From the road map click on Template maintenance (option 4)

select the template you want to modify under technical system.

Activate - Number of qRFC queues in error state

Activate - Number of tRFC entries in status CPICERR

Activate - Number of tRFC entries in status SYSFAIL

Save

then click on managed object tab.

click on apply and activate all managed objects.

This should generate an email if there any qRFC/tRFC in error. I hope the email functionality is working for other alerts and you just want to activate few more alerts.

Hi Sunil,

Thanks for your quick response.

I followed your steps and was able to setup this.

I have made my email to get added in notifications list.

But under managed systems this template is added to many other systems as well but i need notification only to one particular system which is production. I am not bothered about my quality and developement.

Is there a way on how to do it.
