Labels for Existing stock

Hello All,

Can you please suggest me what is the best practice to print labels for existing stock in the warehouse. Before implementing WM, we want to print labels for existing stock (stock existins in all bins). so we can use the same for Mobile data entry transactions from go-live.

What info should be on the label?

Are you going to implement storage unit management?

if yes, then this number will usually be created when you load inventory into WM, so you cannot have this number in advance.

SAP standard can print bin labels with LM55

Other labels are usually created via messages in goods receipt process.

depending on the info you need it may require a ABAP program

If it is just basic info then you may be able to create such labels e.g. with MS Word  Mail Merge function, using a download from MB52 as basis.

Thank you Jurgen. I will check "Mail merge". (with respect to mulitple entries ) and get back.

No we are not using SU management.
