SAP MaxDB System Rename

Hi Experts,

We are facing the below issue while renaming the SAP system using SAPinst -

SdbRegisterSoftwareOnWindows was executed with status ERROR

Our Database is MaxDB 7.8 and OS is Windows Server 2008.

Hi Ria,

Please check windows registry for any existing entry for MaxDB.

If you find any existing entry , delete the same and retry the rename process.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for your suggestion but there are no existing enteries for MaxDB in the windows registry.

We are facing an issue while renaming the database. Kindly refer to SAP Note : 1427931
