Difference of Info Object in PAL

Hi Experts,

Could you please let me know the difference between MATNR & RULE_MATNR and WERKS & RULE_WERKS in Product Allocation?

In which scenario we use thiese-RULE_MATNR, RULE_WERKS?

Could you please some one guide in where and what circumstances we will use?

Hello Prasnop,

I may be wrong. But, what I observed is RULE_MATNR and RULE_WERKS are the objects that are being used for Product Allocation whereas MATNR, WERKS worked well with RBA. You may test this derive the inference.

Hi,

In my case, MATNR, WERKS are working fine in PAL and RBA, instead of RULE_MATNR and RULE_WERKS in PAL.

Can someone help the difference between them. I saw some of the queries which has suggested to use RULE_MATNR and RULE_WERKS in PAL instead of MATNR, WERKS.

Why we need to use RULE_MATNR and RULE_WERKS.

Hi Prasnop,

As per SAP if we are doing product allocation along with RBATP, then for checking allocation quantities at substituted product / location you need to use RULE_MATNR / RULE_WERKS instead of MATNR / WERKS.
