WebDynpro: Using/Nesting WebDynpro components

Is it always necessary for using and used WD components to reside in the same WD project? If i want to mix component-usages from different projects, how do i achieve that?

Hello Stefan,

this is not (yet) supported: The new Java Development Infrastructure (JDI), which will go into Rampup with Web AS 6.40, will allow that.

JDI will organize every kind of Java software into so-called Development Components (DCs), and it will define and track the rules for mutual access between DCs. You will then be able to define a DC that contains some Web Dynpro Components and use that DC in another DC that contains your Web Dynpro application project.

Hello Peter,

does this means that you are not able to assembly on WD application that has all the WD components from different WD projects using some Ant script?
