CI on HP-UX and Dialog instance on Win2003 error

Hi All,

i have installed ECC 6.0 CI on HP-UX succesfully but when i am installing DI

on windows 2003 i am getting below error at "install common systems file" step

ERROR 2007-03-20 15:09:42

FCO-00011 The step createDefaultProfile with step key |NW_DI|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|6|0|createDefaultProfile was executed with status ERROR .

Steps i have followed:

1) i have implimented Note no: 680617

2) shared /sapmnt file sytem to windows successfully

3) i have logged in as domain administrator

4) In Default.pfl ponited SAPGLOBALHOST = CI host and copied from CI to DI

Please Help me out.

Hi Narender,

I am not really sure and convinced that you need to copy default profile from CI from DI.

Instead look at the following points mentioned in the OSS note 680617

When asked for the path to the profile directory you have to specify the full UNC path to the central instance profile directory (
<SAPGLOBALHOST>\sapmnt\<SAPSID>\SYS\profile). Currently, you cannot browse UNC paths in SAPinst, and you must not use network drive letters.

I wouldl suggest that you remove the copied profile from windows host and then try out the installation again and when it asks for profile file give \<SAPGLOBALHOST>\sapmnt\<SAPSID>\SYS\profile.

The default profile even in homogenoues systems in mounted from CI to DI and is not physically present in DI. You can have two default profiles one on CI and one on DI.

Please try this out.
