Can XI parse EDI files out-of-the-box? If not, why not? What is it missing in order to do so? Your responses are appreciated, thanks in advance!
Hi,
>>>>Can XI parse EDI files out-of-the-box? If not, why not?
it cannot
you need to use either itemfield conversion agent or seeburgers EDI adapter

Hi,

No, Xi understands only XML , not EDI format, to make the edi to XI understandable format , you need to use converion tools like CM studio or EDI mapper tools like BIC etc,.also CA-conversion agent..
if you use the Seeburger conversion tools then you need to use respective adapter to communicate with XI-IS.
i hope is clear. to know more about EDI and seeburger see the below links
