Error when using Password Self Service on GRC

Hi Experts

We facing an issue when using password self service on GRC for one of the systems. It gives an error "This system does not let you log on using a password".

Can anyone assist or advis what could be wrong here?

Mustafa,

May you please check the user type? Also, check by changing password from backend system directly and log into the system.

I also faced quite similar kind of problem where, user is shown below error message:

It seems this user already had an initial password therefore PSS is unable to change it again (I thought so).

Hi

We have picked up that the user in backend has "Password logon not possible (Initial password has expired)"

This is the reason why it cannot reset the password.

Is there a way to resolve this?

Mustafa,

Ideally, I think PSS should simply reset the passwords whether it is initial or whatever.

However, I have not seen this yet and it is having such problems.

Dont know if SAP will provide any solutions in next SPs.

Hi Mohamed

If the Password has expired as in initial password then it can only be reset by an admistrator.

It all depends on your parameter settings for password expiring.

Dont know about that. You may need to contact SAP for that.
