Hello,

First of all, u have to check with ur legacy application that what all protocols they can support and depending upon that make a choice for the same.

BTW, PI can connect to external legacy systems using FILE, JMS, JDBC, SOAP, HTTP.

What protocol Legacy system is using?

you can connect the legacy system with File or JMS adapter from PI.

Legacy--(File/JMS)--> SAP PI--(IDOC/Proxy/RFC)--> ECC
