Shipment Block

I have to block shipment of a product if for any reason the standard cost of the product is not released. Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to do that. Would appreciate.

Yes this can be done. Follow the below steps:

1. Define a new reason for blocking shipment:

spro-F5-logistic Execution - shipments- define blocking reaosns for shipments - go to new entries and create

2. Assign the Shipment blocing reason to delivery type what you are using

spro-F5-logistic Execution - shipments-Maintain Transport Relevance-Maintain transport relevance for delivery type.

Assign the Blocking reason to the delivery type you are using.

You can acheive your requirement in 2 ways:

1. Write a small routine and assign the same in the Shipment type you are using

2. write a User exit in Delivery so that system will assign the Shipment blocking reaosn.

I have never done this myself. but your requirement can be met using the above method.
