Hi All,

I am facing a problem of stock getting blocked in old sales order. And hence unable to ship the material unless the stock is released from old orders.

Please suggest me the necessary changes to avoid above and be able to ship the material as and when needed against any sales order.

Another thing you should check is why this old sales order is still existing on your system. Is it correct to be still reserving stock? If the order should not be there, consider deleting it. Or checking if it shows up in report SDRQCR21 as an incorrect requirement.

For this you have to make some configuration changes and let system not to reserve stock against sale orders in availability check. I had faced this issue years ago and you can get solution from my following discussion.

It worked.. But can we make it for a specific plant only?

Yes it is possible and for that you should have different schedule line category for that plant.

You can use back order processing to over come the above issue.
