Hi All;

When I create attachment or create store business document, documents are storing on database.

Can I store them directly on operating system?

For example;

When I create attachment on IW33, I need to see documents on operating system, too.

I mean;

Can I store documents on for example " C:/temp/ " folder?

Hello Enis,

1) Configure a location using OAC0.

2) Point file to respective repository and you can use it with GOS similar to CR.

    It should definitely work we used in one of our project to save the files on machine instead routing them to OT CR in a VIM project.

Check out this it will give you are clue. This custom code saves the document to DMS which mean it should save FS too.

Hi Kolusu;

Thanks for your response But I did not understand your solution.

I need information about OAC0 configuration.

Document area, storage type and others.

Hi Enis,

When I create attachment or create store business document, documents are storing on database.

Can I store them directly operating system?

Create attachment will store the documents into SAP database.

Create Store business document process can store documents into external repository like file system as well. It needs to be configured using OAC0, OAC2, OAC3 and OAWD tcodes.

Refer SAP link for storing documents using archivelink

Hi Deepak;

Ok I know configuration on OAC0, OAC2 and OAC3. Because, at my previous company I did them for Opentext.

But I have no extra program like Opentext at this system.

Which storage type should I choose for storing operating system at OAC0?

Hi Enis,

Refer below blogs for file system configuration. You may use data vault or use Archive link storage.

Hi again,

I looked up this blogs but I am confused.

Ok I configured vault but how can I use it? Will I choose it on OAC0?

Hi Enis,

For Vaults, no OAC0 configuration required.

While check-in you will be prompted to enter values for Vault and Data carrier.

Deepak;

I defined them both.

without repository how can I connect gos and vault?

After vault configuration, what should I do?

I mean;

we are using oac3 for connecting gos and repository.

How can I did it for vaults?

Hi Enis,

You Need to define object links in CV01 while creating a document . You cannot use Vaults with GOS.

Other solution is to define a archive link repository using OAC0.

Oac0 - Setup an ArchiveLink repository

Oac2 - Setup a document type

Oad5 - Setup a link between the document type and the transaction.

This can be used to store the documents using GOS and under the path specified in OAC0.

Hope this helps.

Hi Deepak;

OK I know. I have to configured them all.

I know This t-codes. But my problem is how can I configure OAC0 for storing documents to operating system.

What should I choose on OAC0?

Ok document area is Archivelink.

What should I choose at storage type? HHTP content server or etc.

And how can I configure these selections for storing documents on operating system?

Hi Enis,

What should I choose at storage type? HHTP content server or etc.

Nothing to be filled in this section.

In global path define storage path where document needs to be stored.
