Error 5 when sending an IDoc

Hi Experts ,

while loading hierarchy data , we are geeting below mentioned error .i went through few thread where members suggested to activate or restore Source system .

but i have issue while loading Hierarchy data alone , i am able to load other data in for transaction/text/attribute data sources .

Please provide me your valuable inputs ,

Your response Would be highly appreciable  ..

Thank you so much for replies

already i have checked it rsa3 & job log .In ras3 it is fetching data  .in job log it showing it showing as job completed successfully.

@ sander

All hierarchy ds have same issue

we had connection after ECC back activity, later basis team corrected it , but its not working for hierarchy ds

have issue in QA too , but in qa for all datasources .

Hi,

Take basis team help and check the source system assignment/logical mappings.

As my guess your source system connections may not be in place at Quality ecc to quality bw.

you can cross check at WE20, weather partner profiles are in active or nor.

Hi Hari,

Based on all supplied information it's clear for me that the basis configuration/settings are probably not OK. I read on SCN also various discussions where always the suggested solution was a restore of the source system. I advise you to let the Basis Team do that once more.

Last but not least, you might want to have a look at SAP Note 1313068 - tRFC transfer of pure IDoc hierarchies to PSA.

It would be great if you can share some more information to obtain a clear picture of the context of the problem:

• On which source system and BW release are you (incl. SPS level);
• Which DataSource does it concern;
• Is it 3.x or 7.x data staging technology;
• More details on the error message(s) - preferably with message no.;
• Does the error message(s) occur in the source system or BW system;
• Screenshots(s) showing interesting information;
• Any other relevant information.

Ecc -5.0 (SP for basis SAPKB64031 ,SAP_BW-SAPKW35031 ) BI 7.3 (SAP_BASIS-SAPKB73009)

2.Which DataSource does it concern;

0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HIER,0COSTELMNT_0102_HIER (all hierarchy data sources)

3 .Is it 3.x or 7.x data staging technology;

.using 3.x daata flow for hierarchy loading

4.More details on the error message(s) - preferably with message no.;

.Error 5 when sending an IDoc- Message no. R3003

Error in send SEND_HIERARCHY_20 of the hierarchy table-Message no. R8310

Errors in source system-Message no. RSM340

5.Error occurred while selecting data in ecc , but job status in sm37 (ecc)is successful

after taking back for ecc dev , we had conncetion issue , later it is resolved by basis ..able to load data for all data sources , but not hierarchy ds .

Please let me know me if you need any other information .

Hi,

Have you tried to test run at RSA3?

Take one hierarchy at ecc side and check it is it active or not.

if its active, replicate data source into bw side and activate it thru 3.x related program.

Even try to do RSRV test hierarchy tables, /BIC/H<>info object, H ,K and J tables.

To know more clear about issue, please check the ecc job log of your info pack.

Go to info pack monitor--> environment---> job overview --> job in the source system--> enter ecc user id and pass word, enter them and you will get ecc job, select job and click on log details.

Thanks for the detailed information. It's becoming more clear.

However, I have few questions re. your last remark:

• Since when does the problem occur (e.g. after an upgrade, SP upgrade)?
• Did the hierarchy extractions work correctly in the past?
• Does the problem only occur during extraction from the ECC Development system (after the connection problems)? Do you face the same issue in other systems?
• It concerns all hierarchy extractions?
• What version of PI_BASIS are you using in the ECC system (and which SP level)?
• What SP level of ECC5 are you using (software component SAP_APPL)?
