Hello
Standard ABAP refresh post refresh activities should be sufficient for the CRM system unless there are some custom activities requested by the business.

Hi RB,
I found two CRM System Copy note which talks about specific process of converting the entries with old logical system names for some tables
564435 - Additional information on CRM System copy
886104 - System Landscape Copy for SAP CRM
Now my doubts is should we run BDLS 1st and then implement these two notes.
Also I dont find BDLS related steps in CRM system Copy guide. Is it not a part of Standard ABAP refresh post refresh activities?
Please provide your suggestion.
Regards
RM
You will need to run BDLS.
The SAP note 886104 - System Landscape Copy for SAP CRM is a general note.
The SAP note 564435 - Additional information on CRM System copy speaks about the BDLS task for couple of tables.

Hi Basis,
Please make a note. When you refresh CRM system you need to refresh the corresponding connected systems like ECC , BW.
ECC system contains GUID for replicated data from CRM system. Hence it is necessary that post system copy these GUIDs match between ECC and CRM.
Reading Note 886104 - System Landscape Copy for SAP CRM should be of great help.
Hope this helps.

Hi Deepak,
Thanks for your response.
Yes, we are migrating corresponding ECC & BW systems as well.
But my doubt is which one to follow 1st.
1. Run BDLS 1st for all tables in Copied system.
2. Then follow CRM System Copy SAP notes.
If you earlier performed CRM system copy, can you please suggest how to proceed
My Approach:
1. Run BDLS for all tables (A* to Z*) & (Not Equal to A* to Z*).
2. Use the report ZSCAN_LOGSYS to check if there are still tables containing the logical name of the source system.
3. Run report ZSCAN_LOGSYS_WAS as per note 564435 & proceed accordingly.
4. Adjust the settings in the tables CRMCONSUM and CRMRFCPAR in the copied connected backend system.
5. Adjust the connection to backend systems in transaction SMOEAC.
6. Restore CRM middleware parameters in table SMOFPARSFA.
Please suggest.
Regards
Basis
Hello
Your approach should be fine.
564435 - Additional information on CRM System copy
Make use of the System Landscape Copy PDF file attached in the above SAP note.

Hi Basis,
Your approach is good to go.
Few missing notes from your approach
1) If you have product catalog defined : Republish your product catalog to the corresponding web server for the copied landscape by using transaction COMM_PCAT_IMS_INIT
2) Re-adjust TREX configuration
Rest other steps as you mentioned can be followed.
Hope this helps.

Hi Deepak,

Regarding Step 6. Restore CRM middleware parameters in table SMOFPARSFA.

Is it need to be taken care by CRM team or Basis will do it?

Basis
