To speed things up a bit, I have posted my install.log file:

Robin,

your problem is different, even if it sounds similary: On your computer all needed etries are in the registry, and you also don't have the PDK, but only the connector.

Possible solution for you:

- Make sure that you have Visual Studio Profession or Enterprise. Standard and Book editions will not work (including VB and VC# Standard).

- Select one of Microsoft's Top-Nodes in Server Explorer and click on the "Refresh" Button in the Top-Toolbar of the Server Explorer. DONT right-click and select "Refresh".

I am having exactly the same issues as this user. Do you want me to open a new message, or can I use this thread.

I have reinstalled the beta connector a few times, the last time I rebooted between the un-install and the install.

I have an install.log file for review

Please email me at r.delange at d2c.net

Here is my export from the registry:

Hi,

Sorry for being a little trivial - did you try to refresh?

(right click the SAP node and select refresh)

Regards,

Ofer

Hm. This is strange.

Can you please Export the registry node HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1\ServerExplorer\Nodes to a file and post the content here?

The registry path would be on your development machine (the machine where you have VS installed).

Indeed the entries for SAP .NET Connector are missing. Please uninstall SAP .NET Connector 2.0 and reinstall. You don't need to uninstall the PDK.

Please don't mix PDK (which consist of two .MSIs: design time and runtime) with SAP .NET Connector, which is the 3rd MSI.

I did the same (uninstalled the SAP .NET Connector and reinstalled ),but to no use. I am still having the same problem. The content of the registry node is same as earlier. What can I do now?

Can you please check the following things:

- After uninstalling, which files starting with SAP.* do you find in "c:\program files\Microsoft Visual Studio 2003\Common7\IDE"?

- Can you please run the installation with logging? (You find the exact command line in the Release notes file, it's something like "msiexec /l*v test.log /i <connectorMSI>". The log file might be too long to post. You could give me an E-Mail-Address. I would responde so you can send it my mail to me.
