Record not able update/change in MDM data manager

Hi Guys,

We are getting xml record from SAP PI via FTP, Which contains the data need to be updated for the particular customer in MDM.

For Example : The XML record from PI contains a new legal number 2 value in the xml which is to update the customer in MDM with the new information.

Via the same, We are able to update a record for one customer number. But we are NOT able to update any fields or values for another customer.

Its getting success in FTP, The XML record moves from Ready folder to the archive and doesn't get stuck in structural X either. So we are not able to identify why this particular record is not been able to update in MDM.

Both the customers holds same customer type, Organisation as well. So not sure why one customer gets updated but another customer does not.

Can you please help us why the record for a customer does not gets updated ? Is it somewhere locked from editing ?

--Please check did your matching strategy achieving that skipped record?

--That particular record is skipping while importing the record..please check import options in Import Manager MAP.

--Because there is no issue in that XML file for that particular record so it is not giving any structural exception. Issue is in mapping that particular record.

Thanks

Hi Rajesh,

If your matching strategy contains "Remote Key" in the import map and you have customer data with various "Remote Keys" then it will update the record with respect to the remote key of that record.

Kindly check the import map and the record remote key

Hi Rajesh,

This question can be answered by having a look at import map.

Different records can behave differently depending on configurations in Import map.

Thanks,
