Urgent..Dispatcher is stopping

Hi everyone..

In our organisation we have a test server..

I installed SAP 47 with oracle 8i on windows 2003 as OS after installation

MMC started fine i was able to log into the system.

after the i restarted the system..dispatcher is stopping and work processess

are ending..

and dev_w0 file showing an error:

ERROR => CONNECT failed with sql error '1017'

please reinstall it with at least Oracle 9.2.0.2.3. this is the first version supported on Windows 2003 / XP. the most current version is 9.2.0.8.4

Peter i did install 8i on windows 2003 server and it was working fine..

This is happening pretty recently..

It looks very much like your OS authentication mechanism is not working.

is explained in SAP note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/50088">50088</a>,

did you change the service definition of the SAP Service or the membership of your computer (domain)?

why people are still trying to install ORacle 8i on Windows 2003? It is not supported!

Hi Kiran,

This is a OPS$ DB User configuration error, maybe it can be locked.

Follow the OSS note 400241.
