SAP Archiving Problem FI_DOCUMNT

Hi,

We would like to archive documents for a company code. But we have a

problem. After we run the archiving program for FI_DOCUMNT system cannotarchive any

document in to the archiving folder in windows system. We

made all customizings and configurations from AOBJ, FILE and SARA

transactions. Everything is ok, but when we run the archiving program

SAP

system cannot archive any data. You can see below archive job logs.

There is not any error log in job logs but also system cannot archive

finance docuement for related company code and 2012 financial year.

How can we solve this problem?

Hi Birgul.

Do you see any information in the detail log or application log for your selection.

Please check in the table BSEG and BKPF whether entries exists based on the selection parameter defined in the archiving variant.

Dear Deepak,

There is not any log informations at SARA transaction related wtih old archiving job. Also I sent SM37 job logs in first message. I have already checked BSEG and BKPF for related company codes and there are more data in these tables. Also you can check below screens. I made all archiving configurations and created maintain varyant. But after I started this varyant system didn't archive any document for related company codes. I don't know  why I have this problem.

Hi Birgul,

Have you maintained any retention policies for FI document types ?

For eg: Document life settings in SARA --> Configuration

           Check Application settings

Test whether document can be archived or not.

From the table extract from BSEG , BKPF randomly pick up a document number .

Exectue Tcode FB99

Type in the Fi document number and key-date as per your screen shot.

Check the results whether document can be archived or not.

I have already checked account life time and document life time settings and these values are 9999. Also you can see FB99 screen for a document number below.

Is there anything wrong?

Hi Birgul,

Yes. The document life settings prevent the documents from archiving.

document life = 9999 means when the difference between document creation date and key date is >=9999 document is eligible for archiving.

You may need to change the document life settings to 365 ( if retention policy is 1 year) or muliples of 365 ( based on company retention policy).

Post these changes check the results again in FB99 to check whether document can be archived or not.
