Stock posting with inspection type-03

Hello Experts,

My Client business process requires Inprocess Quality check with stock posting.

I know the standard behaviour for 03 will not support for stock posting like Inspection type-04.

Is there any posiblity to do so..... (like BADI)

Hi Anand.

How did you do the stock posting?

Did you do a production order notification or a material transfer?

For production order you should use 04 type inspection.

For material transfer you can use 08 type inspection. Even more, you can do an ABAP program to simulate a material transfer, this way blocks the stocks you want for inspection.

Maybe 89 type, this way you can lunch an inspection any time you want, of course this type doesn't requires or blocks the stocks.

03 type inspection lot won't be stock relevant and we can't modify this functionality to match your business, but instead of that you can explore option of having early inspection lot. System will create this inspection lot at the time of order release. In this case you will not required to use 03 along with 04. So use 04 with early inspection lot.

Hi Anand,

03 is for in process inspection without stock posting. There is no possibility to mak 03 as stock posting similar to 04 with any BADI etc.

Instead you can do quality confirmations in QM and accordingly validation can be given. Similarly to how production qty is confirmed in production you can have quantity confirmation control on Yield, rework and scrap during results recording in QM. Confirmation screen can be called in QM and confirmations can be entered along with result recording.

No, not possible.

Why do you want to have 03 as Stock relevant when you can use 04??

Also, you can go for Early Inspection Lot for 04 Inspection type which will be created once the Production order is released.

Generally, 04 Inspection lot will be created while doing Confirmation for Production Order.
