We are setting a Sapgui connection with sap logon group but when we set the sapms and select the logon group, allways is selected the wrong instance number:

there are two application servers:

Central Instance : System number 00

Dialog Instance : System number 01

Allways is set 01 and that is worng.

Hi,

You can refer to below note

Note 1685221 - SAP Logon: maintain system entry w/o sapmsg.ini/service file

SAP GUI Help (F1 Short cut) has also good documentation under section "Defining the Group/Sever Selection Manually"

Hope it helps.

Hi Sargan,

You can ignore that, as you are using a Logon Group the system number is irrelevant as the application server will be chosen by the message server.,

If you want to change it regardless you can edit he saplogon.ini file manually.

Dear Sargan,

Below line maintain the service file and give permission to etc directory.

sapmsSID 36<instance nr>/tcp and don't forget to press enter and save it.... once you done all
