Livelink Document cannot be opened

Hi experts,

We have a problem to view archive document. The document is archive from our site office and they also have problem to view the document. This happen to certain site only.I found out that the error 20539 is windows error but we are not sure how to fix it. The error is:

Pls help.

Arianie Anordin Shah,

            1) Please check whether you are able to connect(CMD -> ping) to machine. Make                sure that you are using correct parameter(host/ip) in command.

            2) Please check setting of antivirus or browser or firewall is blocking the document.

            3) Please also check the user permission for viewing the document.

     If they don't fix give a chance to see the log file

Hi Suresh Kumar,

I have check the permission and try to ping the server. It works fine. There are possitbility that it is the firewall problem:

What should we do? We have tried to turn on and turn off the proxy but the result is the same. Is there anything else we need to check?

Hi Nanie Shah,

Try this:  http://saparchiving:8080/archive?admInfo&pVersion=0046&resultAs=html in  browser and also try replacing the "saparchiving" with respective IP to see if there is any response in another browser window.

If in the second case there is a response. You need to go "RUN" type "Drivers".  go to ETC folder and open HOSTS file in noted to add the server and IP address.

also try replacing "http://" with "https://" try the above same

Do get back if this does not work.

Hi Suresh,

When i browse http://saparchiving:8080/archive?admInfo&pVersion=0046&resultAs=html it shows the server is running. 

I also had already add server and ip in hosts.

the result is still the same. Pls help.

Sorry for late reply. Please send  IXClient.log to analyze. Please take care to send a fresh version by deleting old one, restarting the machine. Before restarting and deleting the old IXClinet.log   make sure do Edit -> Settings -> Advanced to set log level to Extended.

            After restarting do the same thing to capture the log and send it.

Hello Nanie,

1) Please check if ‘aaaadc4w3v1vgbcdqeaaaaaexekky’ exists and opening on the server but on client if so

2) Check for the ip of the OTAS and specific correct ip address of archive server hosted in viewer software file in the path Opentext imaging configuration->Whole profile->Default->CWin->Archivelink->archive-0

3) Please also check for correct entries of OTAS in the DB too (if you were able to archive same document from your machine no need to check this).

4) Please re-issue the certificate and make sure that is enabled on OTAS side.

5) Telnet OTAS port executed on the client machine.

6) Please try to re-create the http connection.

7) From the log I see it is “Doc” type please see it is using correct native application version to open it.

Verify with the Admin whether any changes are done to the host of server.

Between every step try restarting server/client.

Keep posted if they solve the problem

Hi,

Check the Archive server path where the documents are archived from that office site. This type of errors comes when the Archive server path is given wrong in Administrator Client for the viewer.

Simple terms, The document is archived in some Archive path and the Windows viewer is trying to view the file from another Archive Server path.

Nanie. Sometime this error comes when your viewer is not pointing to Correct Archive server. Please check if you viewer is pointing to correct archive server. You can check that in registry settings.

Also , have  you installed all the lastest patches? I had  this problem with viewer serveri 10 even though all  settings were correct. Once i installed the lastest patch the issue got fixed.

Also please double check if this document is infact reached your archive server or not. You can check this in ds_doc table of archive server  with the document id .

Sometime the object get created in SAP but the imae does not get stored in the archive server. Check the document pipeline and see if the documet is stuck there.
