Hello SDN team,
I installed the netweaver 7.02 with ep2 64-bit package. I want to install netweaver gateway 2.0, When i import the package in GW_CORE 200 using SAINT it says the pre-requistes failed.
I need to upgrade the level of all the sap packages from 006 to 007 for netweaver 7.02.
Please observe the screenshot.
What are the possible options available to upgrade ?
Should i use mopz ? If so please tell me which version to use. and the suitable docs for it.
Thanks in advance..
Hi Harsha
What are the possible options available to upgrade ?
You can use the SUM or SWPM
How to use the SUM tool detailed link
SWPM
Should i use mopz ? If so please tell me which version to use. and the suitable docs for it.
Yes you have to use the MOPZ, reason is it will calculate the all the components in right way along with kernel

You can use the SUM or SWPM
Correction:
You cannot use SWPM for updating the components or SP's in the system.
You need to use SUM for that.
SUM tool is the one used for SAP maintenance activities like SP update, upgrades etc.
It works internally with SPAM/SAINT
As suggested before you need to either use SPAM/SAINT to patch the components and to install new ones once you have all the dependent packages in place or use download SUM and patch the ABAP components.

I cannot download any packages from market place which are related in the post.
All the packages do not show up in the market place. it says it can be done via mopz..please give me instructions to install mopz for sap netweaver 7.02.
Please provide me the step by step instructions to install MOPZ. (the current sp version is sp6)
Dear Harsha,
You can update SP level by using SUM tool or SPAM.
Only Four package SP06 to SP07.
Better you can update in SPAM.

Hi Harsha,
You may download the NW patches individual component SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS,PI_BASIS & SAP_BW and extract it and place it under /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.
Then use SAINT to apply the GW_CORE add-on and include all patches which you extracted.
SAINT should be able to pick up the dependencies for GW_CORE and complete the add-on installation.
Hope this helps.

Hello
Download all the dependent packages from http://service.sap.com/swdc
The best would be to create a stack file using Maintenance Optimizer and then download all the packages and use SUM to patch.
