Hi,
I have my own MS Exchange 2010 environment and OWA and ActiveSync utilities.
How to create a configuration policy for my Samsung and Non-Samsung android devices to configure in able to get corporate Mails?
There is a Samsung configuratiıon policy under "Exchange Account policy" header. But when I click to "Add" button I see so many parameters. I have to tell that there is no connection between my Afaria and Active Directory to take those parameters from AD. But I can ask those thing during enrollment.
Can anyone give me an idea how?
Ofcourse I know where i click
I mean, There is no SYS substitution about e-mail address.

Hi,
For Email Address in IOS we use notification address substitution.
For Android what you can do.
Active sync host: https://Owa link. ( Type Manually the address)
Domain : use exchange domain substitute
Exchange user: use exchange user substitution
User : Username substitution
password : exchange password substitution
Account Name : You can Manually type in policy
All you need to make sure in enrollment code policy you need to define all this substitution .
Note : Make sure while enrolling the device you need to put the proper input for the above substitution.
Eg.
It will prompt for this variable at the time of enrollment.
Domain : xyz.com
Exchangeuser: emailaddress
User : abc
password : xyz.
This method is easiest way , still if you want you can create a new substitution by clicking ADD and define the new substitution.
How?

Hi Tevfik,
The easiest way to close a Discussion is to mark one of the posts as Correct Answer. That both marks the thread as Answered as well as assigning points (10) to the person who provided the correct answer. If there were other helpful posts in the thread, you can mark those as Helpful Answer (5 points).
It is proper to assign Correct Answer even if you found the answer yourself (you won't receive points) so that others reading the thread will know that the original author solved his or her problem and how they did so.

Hi,
I am not sure but this work for both SAMSUNG AES1 and AES2 device.
Yeah you need AES to use this policy , for NON AES Device this policy will not work in that case you need to work on NITRODESK policy.
Add certificate i believe you can find in frontline.sybase.com.
For Exclude ? sorry no idea about that .
Understand,
Another question, In samsung sevices, which app using this exchange policy?

Hi,
You need to define define the variable on afaria console for exchange policy .
Step 1.
Active sync host: https://Owa link.
Domain : u need to select the exchange domain variable
Email address : excahangeuser
User : Username
password : exchange password
step: 2 : Create a new enrollment code policy
Define all the variable in enrollment code policy : Username , exchange user. domain , password.
step 3:
Enroll the device it will prompt for the details at the time of enrollment : input the proper value for the variable :
Domain : Domain name
Email address : excahangeuser@
User : Username ( NT ID user name)
password : exchange password
For NON AES device you need to configure from Nitrodesk .
Create Nitrodesk policy and install nitrodesk application on device : variable pattern will be same.
