Rental Process

Hi Experts,

In our company we have requirement for Rental Process.

First i want to share about our company:

Our company sell and rental heavy equipment. If we want to rent heavy equipment, we will take it from inventory and transfer it to asset and rent it.

We have requirements below:

1. We need to trace in which customer our heavy equiment

2. Before contract sign off, our heavy equipment must be as inventory not asset

We already explore it and got a solution that we can use consignment method to trace in whoch customer our heavy equipment.

But with this solution we face a problem when we want to transfer inventory to asset.

As we know, we can use movement type 241 to transfer from inventory to asset.

But due to we use consignment method, the stock will get staus consignment stock and in standard no movement type 241 W to transfer inventory consignment stock to asset.

Can any one help me to give some solution for our requirement?

Hi,

To my knowledge In SD We don't have this process. But CS(Customer Service) will fulfill your requirement.

In AMC Process and even you can trace the assets aswell Through Functional Location Tcode: IL01

What is logic behind transfering inventory to asset and then issue to customer? Why don't issue inventory and have a trace of customer as well. As far as I know we can only issue materials from stock to customer in SD we can't issue assets.
