For example I have a customer in R/3 say xx11.

I cif it to APO as location type customer.

Can I then CIF it further also as location type plant or DC?

Hi,

As suggested by Michael we need to have only one customer or ship to with same customer number though customer names are same we can differentiate with Cust. number..

and usually DC is used as Distribution Center or when you are using DC to customers it can be Direct Customer....

Thanks,

Bala.

Hi,

Two different people working on two different things.

One has sent the customer in APO XX12.

Then we have created DC with same code and other person is unaware about this if we can send XX12 as DC to APO?

Hi

You can't have two locations with the same name, even if they are different location types.  You'll have to delete the Customer.

In order to do this use transaction WUF to delete open transactional data.

No, it can only be a customer if it's CIF'ed. but why would you need to?  What functionality do you need it to be a DC to use?

Hi Maichael,

Is it possible or not?
