More than one column / row crosstab at crystal reports for enterprise like attached picture

Hello,

I am searching more than 10 hours for this, but I can´t find a solution.

Here is my report:

First step:

But I want this: (add a second row like the red marked row)

Second step (if possible), one row, and three children of the parent row:

The measure (Net Sales, Cogs, Sold Units) is the sum of this (this already works!)

How can I do this? Is is possible in Crystal Reports for Enterprise.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Marc,

You can add a new Row/Column in the crosstab. The feature is also know as 'Calculated Members'.

What calculations do you wish to display in the new row/column?

Hello,

the calculation already exists in the database from the facttable.

I tried something, but I can´t drag 2 dimensions in the same hierarchy?

If I drag a second dimension or measure to the same hierarchy of the crosstable, than Crystal Reports set the draggable dimension/ measure of the bottom of the first dimension?

Isn´t it possible in Crystal Reports like in Web Intelligence?

hi Marc, here are the steps to do this in crystal reports 2008 etc...not 100% sure if this option exists in cr for ent:

1) right click on the crosstab and choose Cross-tab Expert

2) in the cross-tab expert go to the Customize Style tab

3) select "Horizontal" in the Summarized Fields options

cheers,

If you use two dimensions in Rows/Columns, CR assumes they're a hierarchical structure - e.g: Year -> Month, or Country -> State.

If you drag two measures, CR shows the calculations one below the other in the same cell. You can use the 'Horizontal' option as suggested by Jamie to show the measures side-by-side in the same cell - again, it's Not going to be anything like WebI.

is this not possible with cross tab wizard?

the measures come from DB.

My problem: is it possible to add a second row at the same hierarchy?

I never see this function? If I drag a measure or dimension to the crosstab and want drag it on the right side of the first dimension than Crystal Reports create a new column (not row!!!).

Your video I´ve seen already, but I it doesn´t give me the solution?!

How can I do this?

Hi,

Try a manual cross tab then.

Insert the Dimension and measures in Detail section of the report and format accordingly.

Thanks,

Jothi

Hi,

Where is this Net Sales, Cogs  and Sales unit comming from?. are they measures in DB then you can select the same measures in row structure of your crosstab.

If they are something you need to do calculations, then try using Calculated Memebers in Crosstab. below video will explain you in detail.

Thanks,

Jothi
