Sale Order Item Addition through ORDCHG

Hi All
Can any one succeded adding a new line item through ORDCHG if yes let me know the process.      

I am trying to add a new line item to an existing sale order through inbound ORDCHG.But idoing so the item is getting added but with different WERKS field at line item level.

has any one faced this issue?Please help!

we had our standard code touched by some other program ,so did not work  in the first time where i tried to add an article , now that the problem is identified standard is doing fine.

hi,

If you using standard Message types and Basic types ( along with segments)

check the segment E1EDP01 which has the WERK field

check if the value is fixed for this field, probably you have to check in underlying Function module
