Hi all,
I´m trying to run a matching strategy in SAP MDM Data Manager, but when I select the strategy (right click>Matching>Selected vs ALL), I get the message:
"socket error on receive"
And immediatly the instance stops.
What is happening with the sap mdm server??
Hi Elkin,
This could be due to inconsistent connection b/w MDS and DBMS.
Please refer to SAP Note - 413330 for more information.
Also,please try for a smaller data set and check if this only happens if data volume and hence number of operations increase significantly.

Hi Elkin,
This may be due to the connection timed out error in data manager. If you have selected bulk records and id the matching is taking time, i suggest please reduce the number of records you perform matching. If that does not help, then we get this error when TCP/IP connection between any MDM component & MDM Server is lost, which means MDM server is not stable, please check with your basis team.
