How to send alert to external mail

Hi all,

I'm trying to send alerts by mail but without success...

The alerts exist since I can see them in SDP94.

I have defined in /SAPAPO/AMONMSG the alert profile, the mail address for which the alert should be send to and marked the box of automatic notification.

Still, when I run the macro that creates the alert - mail is not being sent (I'm checking at transaction SCOT and there is no indication for mail)

Any advises of how should I do it?

You may like to take a look at post.

Also please check with your network/infrastructure team if the gateway between SAP system and your email server is established.

Hi Rachel,

we have not running this utility but I have read in the best practice for SNP the following:

"APO report /SAPAPO/AMON_MAIL_BROADCAST

This report ensures sending of mails about existing alerts."

"Send Alert Monitor mails with report /SAPAPO/AMON_MAIL_BROADCAST. Depending on user profiles, mails are sent with an overview of existing alerts. The responsible persons should then call the APO Alert Monitor, investigate the reasons for the alerts and take corrective actions in order to keep the demand plan close to the needs of your company."

"Check if job is running as scheduled.

If the report is not scheduled on a regular basis, schedule it to run every hour to at least daily, depending on your requirements."
