Solution Manager 7.1 solution can not be edited

Hi Guru!

I have a problem about basic configuration of a solution manager 7.1 sp10, in the "specify solution" task i can't edited the logical component.

do you have any idea for editing the field?

Hi Nicola,

The issue here is that the solution already exists and the Logical Components are not assigned to it properly.

1) Run the Logical Component Migration using LMDB_LC_MIG transaction

2) Check if the solution has Logical Components assigned to it. If it has Logical Components are assigned, remove the Logical Components from the solution.

3) Delete the Logical Components, both the ABAP and JAVA one's

4) Delete the Solution.

5) Come to this UI and recreate the Solution with Logical Components

I'm seeing the same message on my Solman instance when I open the Basic Configuration node.

Hi,

What about other tabs in solman_up, are you able to edit?

make sure another session with the same page is not opened with edit option,  if then, halt the other session.

then edit option in your current session visible.

Also make sure authorizations, it should be sap_all.

even i can't edit the existing solution in Solman 7.1 SP8, getting below error. (no other session running )

Hi,

You need to select the ABAP entry alone and java entry alone from the technical system tab

Dont select system from technical scenario tab.

Hello Sunil,

"Solution SAP Solution already exists and cannot be modified" means that the SAP Solution is already there in your solman system. go to tcode solman_directory and you will see the list of all solution present. if you click on solution node, you will be able to see the logical component assigned to this solution.

If you want to delete this solution, then first you have to remove the logical component from solution

Which user are you using ?

Please use solman_admin for basic system configuration.
