Hi all,
Do SAP have any migration tool to migrate the oracle data to HANA/IQ with good performance? Is this migration
tool proven with customer reference? Kindly advise so that we could re-use.
Cheers,
Hilda
Hi,
Yes SAP has a migration tool SAP SLO(System Landscape Optimization Services)/SAP SLT(System Landscape Transformation) for DB migration from Oracle to HANA.
Please refer below links gives more insights using SAP SLT/SLO.
Recently we migrated from IBM DB2 to SAP HANA and we used SAP SLO/SLT.
For more details please refer to SAP Note '1771460 - SAP LT Replication Server: Using ORACLE as non-SAP source'
Starting with SAP HANA SPS03, SAP LT Replication Server is able to support also data provisioning for SAP HANA from non-SAP source systems.
This note contains information about:
a. How to prepare a secondary database connection to be used with SAP LT Replication Server and an Oracle database as source system
b. Important corrections using SAP LT replication server and ORACLE as non-SAP source
c. Specifics on supported ORACLE data types and default mapping to HANA
Thanks,
-VJ.
