Dear Gurus,
We have Allocation and Product Substitution Rules active.
When a product substitution occurs on VA01, TQA is not being created for the substitute material, and in some cases we have over-quota approved.
Example:
Material A - 0 quota
Material B - 100 quota
Both materials with plenty inventory.
Sales Order 1
Material A - 100 peaces
After GATP:
Material A - 0 confirmed
Material B - 100 confirmed
Without saving the Sales Order 1, i open another window and create another Sales Order in VA01:
Sales Order 2
Material A - 100 peaces
After GATP:
Material A - 0 confirmed
Material B - 100 confirmed
If i save both orders now, i'll have 200 peaces confirmed in my planning book.
The problem is on Sales Order 1, not saving TQA for substitute material, and SO2 is using this quantity.
If i try the same without substitution, TQA is created.
Can you guys help me please?
Hello MT APO,
This is quite surprising. I would expect that the TQA to be created here. Did you check both the tabs in /SAPAPO/AC06 ( Availability, Allocation ) ?
Also, what is your settings in the t-code OVZ2 for the field "Block QtReq" ? Try switching this and see the results as well.

Thanks Babu for your reply.
Yes, i did check the TQA on /sapapo/ac06. When i have product substitution, TQA is not created for substitute products, but funny thing is if i click on ATP button in VA01, TQA will be created for this material, but when i confirm qty on atp window (and back to VA01), those TQA quantitys are removed.
OVZ2 block takes place during atp only.
Hello MT
Here is very good informative SAP note on TQA in GATP. Please see if you have not read this earlier.
SAP Note# 488725 : FAQ -Temporary quantity assignments in Global ATP
Hope this will help.
Thank you

Any ideas? Should i open a SAP Ticket?

Hi MT APO,
Yes. It makes sense to raise an OSS message so that SAP can take a look at this. Perhaps, there is some note that is missing in your system. Based on the scenario, that you had explained, it will lead to over confirmations and the stock picture is disturbed. Let us see what SAP has to say about this. Keep us posted as well.

Hi MT APO ,
Are all other ATP customizing are same for both the products ?
