Multiple Sold to Party in ChaRM

Hi Team,

Is there possibility to define multiple Sold to Party Business Partners in Change Request ?

Like different Sold to Party for different Landscapes ?

We can select it manually also, but if it can be made automatic then it will be great !!

Hi Ankit,

The overall picture will be:

1. Create separate projects for each Landscape
2. Each Landscape have own Ibase number
3. Assign separate Sold to party to each IBASE

Then when you create Change Request:

1. Choose project for Sold to party needed
2. Ibase will be automatically filled
3. after that Sold-to-party will automatically get filled.

yes i have done same only.

I have different projects and from project i am getting I base.

But, when I select IBase, Sold to party is not getting automatically populated.

I have checked I have partnert det proc determined automatically by IBase only.

I have also maintained different Partners for different Ibases too.

And, I have maintain minimum value of Sold to Party as 1 in Partner det, proc also.

But, strangely automatically it is taking same Partner which we were using before.

Now even't i dont have that partner/organization assigned in IB52 itself but it is taking automatically only that value.

Please assist.

Hi Ankit,

I was wrong you cannot do that because, the IBASE that takes value Sold-to-party are always the same and getting filled in Reference Objects assigment block.

And this is Solution Manager Ibase itself and the value always single and same.

So this will not work via IBASE, Better map your Requestors - Organizations.

F.e. if Requestor belongs to Sold-to-Party XXX this will be filled automatically after Requestors filled.

Make Request - Current user, by default it is.

If you want to know how to make Organization and Business Partners assignment just ask.

And for that I think I need to setup Organization model which is not being done right now in the project.

If you able to figure out any method through IBase determination, then please let me know .

No, actually problem is automatically old BP Partner is being populated that was maintained before.

Right now, even I don't have that partner defined in IB52 but still it is showing same.

I will be able to select manually BP from F4, but i want to get it populated automatically.

Hi Ankit,

Yes i know how you can do it via IBASE, but first can you provide steps you doing in the creation of CR.

F.e. Do you input IBASE manually? if yes then this can be done.

To get this work in partner determination you need to choose Ibase partner schema

its 00000032.

Choose it and make the settings.

here is an example with Z* partner functions that getting filled automatically after IBASE input.

Yes, these settings are already there.

My main problem is -  When I enter Ibase manually, Sold to Party is getting determined automatically but the partner that gets filled there is the one which we have maintained before in IB52. Right now I am not using same partner, I have maintained different partners for different systems.

how to rectify this.

This is because you changed Partner Determination of ZMCR but you need to change it for 00000032 IBASE.

In your screenshot its ZMCR0001, change the other one 00000032

make sold-to-party via ibase and after this check out again.

Thanks for your responses. I mention that too but still no use.

Actually I think its some other problem, because Sold to Party is too getting determined, but not with BP that I want.

Even that BP is not set in IB52.

So, that main problem. Its organizational Role BP.

Please check where you have maintained the BP of sold to party

i.e. in all the IBASE Component with client or at higher level

I have maintained same BP at client and at header of that system both

For Ex- if system is EU0 and client is 810. So, I have maintained it at 810 and at EU0 both.

So now question is: You don't know why and how Sold-to-Party getting filled automatically each time with same Business Partner right?

Yes Dan,

I am not using this BP even in IB52, .

This was original one Sold to Party we used before we are about to go for Multilple Sold to Parties.

Now why this is coming every time even though I have set different BPs as you can see in screenshots.

it is possible but you need to based it upon your requirement

for e.g if it is IBASE dependent then you can follow  for different ibase

value 1 maintain sold to party 1

or ibase 2 maintain sold to party 2

in IB52

then this will automatically determined based upon ibase, ..if value 1 is entered sold to party 1 will be filled in the incident

it is also possible to determine based upon end user for e.g

countrywise etc

or you can implement badi with your own logic

so based upon requirement you can configure in the system

@Kamil- I already tried it, but system is not allowing multiple Sold to Parties entered in Partner menu.

Any workaround ?

Is it possible to do same in ChaRM too ?? I want to select by IBase.

How to do that ?

Hi Ankit,

It doesn't matter whether it is incident or change request because the basic concept remains the same.

• Assign the ibase with BP of sold to party
• Assign the partner function with determination criteria based upon Ibase
• Assign this partner det proc to your transaction type ZMIN ZMCR etc

Please check in IB52 mark the system and from top menu go to partner and add two sold to partys.
