Hi

Copying application data between two system with different versions does not really make sense.

It is technically possible but you will surely loose some data in the process and might have at the end inconsistent business data & customizing.

Even transport orders are not supposed to be performed across system with different release...

Why are you willing to do this, Is it in the context of a migration ?

Copying data between system with different addons might create less issues, if the addons are not bussiness related (addons like ST-PI, ST A/PI...) or if you do not care about loosing the data related to these addons.

Thank you.but what is meant by cross client customizing? can you give me an example of cross client customized objects?

cross client customizing is the object setting is available for all the client. If you change in one client it is going to impact all the client. For example Factory calender.. another example if you go to SCC4 and change anything and logon to another client you see the change.

Hi Harsha,

It means client independent objects, repository objects, programs and data structures are cross client

Example is T000 table , when you try to edit this table via SCC4, you will get the message says its cross client .

Hello

The basic requirement to do a client copy is to have the systems on the same release and patch level.

If you don't have the systems in the same component level then the client copy is not supported.
