Dispatcher is not starting

Former Member

Hello,

During NW 741 installation, the starting step of the instance failed (The wizard gave up after 10mins waiting). So I tried to start the instance using SAPMMC, here is that I saw:

1- Initial state: See the Sc1

2- During the starting process: See the Sc2

3- End state: See the Sc3

Any idea what may cause this issue or how to trace the issue?

Cheers

F

Hi Fouad,

Could you check whether SAP application can connect to Database using R3trans -d.

Deepak--

I believe this transaction is not a CMD one, how to run that?

Attached the traces/logs.

Where trans.log is located?

Cheers

Hi Fouad,

You can open command prompt and execute R3trans -d ..

to check the logs just type trans.log in the command prompt.

M  in_ThErrHandle: 1

M  *** ERROR => ThInit: ThProfileRead (step TH_INIT, thRc ERROR-CORE-INIT_FAILED, action STOP_WP, level 1) [thxxhead.c   2195]

Please check whether DNS entry is maintained for your server.

If not, then maintain the entry under hosts file of server.

Hi Fouad,

I mean hosts file existing on the server located under ../etc/drivers/

You may perform a search for this file.

Looks like your hosts file needs correction.

Check whether the hosts file has a proper entry for the host name.

Start with this:
