Issue while raising Incident from Managed system

Former Member

Hi,

I am not able to create an incident from managed system ECC.

When I click on 'Create Support Message' from help menu, I get below error

' Customizing for feedback functionality missing'

I have maintained BCOS_CUST details correctly as details below

Appl: OSS_MESG

+W

Back RFC

+620

+1.0

I got few posts related to same issue, but no specific answer for this. Can anybody tell what is the exact issue.

Regards

PK

Is OSS_MESG supposed to work?  Mine are all OSS_MSG.

I would also suggest trying SLG1, ST22, and SM21 on both the Solution Manager and managed system to see if you can find a better error message.

Hi Brenda,

Thanks. You are right it should be OSS_MSG and not OSS_MESG.

Hi,

Since the error is very generic, you can try below troubleshooting steps;

1) Check if BACK RFC to Solution Manager is working fine in SM59. SM_<SID_of_Solution_Manager>CLNT<Client_of_Solution_Manager>_BACK

From the menu, choose Utilities -> Test -> Authorization Test to test the RFC connection.

2)Authorizations SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE and SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN were assigned to back RFC user.

3) The table AIINSTALLATIONS check: If the installation number of the selected system is not existing in table AIINSTALLATIONS, (re-)execute job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT in Automatic Configuration step, Basic Configuration scenario in SAP Solution Manager Configuration (transaction SOLMAN_SETUP).

3) Check Ibase entry for the system in solman

Hope this helps.

Hi PK,

check again if you have entry like this RFC can be back or trusted but make sure..

incase of back rfc user id maintained in RFC is not locked in solman

incase of trusted rfc...end user has the authorization

.....also can you check if you can post message in solman via help->create support message

for solman bcos_cust rfc is NONE

hope this helps

Hi PK

Have you generated the business partner in solman for the ID you are using in managed system(ECC)...you should generate them using AI_SDK_USER_BP_GEN.

kindly check below sap note and help.sap link

824640 - Customizing missing for Service Desk in Solution Manager

SAP Library - SAP Solution Manager

hope this helps
