LIS infostructures updates for product allocation in ECC

Hi All,

We are working on product allocation in ECC, for the same we have created info structure and other config for it, for updating the info structures in Tcode - OMO1 we have few options like Synchronous, Asynchronous 1,2 and 3, can you please elaborate the usage of selecting any one of theses ?

I have gone through the F1 help and tested few scenarios also, changing this options, but I am  not able reach on any conclusion.
