Hi,

I have a problem with SRM Process Controlled Workflow

When approving from UWL everything is going great.

When I'm trying to approve it from background with report: BBP_BACKGROUND_APPROVAL, WF goes into error:

Error when defining successor for node

Task: 40007953

Hi Tom,

Where is jerry I couldn't resist the temptation .

Transaction name is BBP_BGRD_APPROVAL, and is only valid for SRM 7.0 Application controlled wf.

If you are using SRM 7.0 and process controlled WF then background approval using this report is not possible.

You can also refer to this thread and check your workflow configuration, this seems to be common workflow issue

Is there a way to approve a step by administrator in PC controlled WF?

Hi Tomasz ,

If you want to approve a single step for which you  should know it is with which user ID then and work item ID

Go to SWI5 and then choose option the Work items to be completed once done execute it and find out which SC number it is and whats the work item ID .

with the work item id go to SWIa and select the record and click on Adminsitrator forward option and enter the user ID whom you want this assigned ..

OR incase you want to by pass the entire approval process go to SE37

FM BBP_PD_SC_STATUS_CHANGE_WF

Pass GUID of SC and  IV_STATUS = 1.

This will set the SC status to 'Approved'

I hope I understood the requirement correctly or please give me more inputs
