Hi all
Can someone explain me what is meant by global host preparation.?
Hi Sri,
Global host preparation is a step to perform the following
1) Check certain OS pre-requisites
2) Create required OS users and directories
3) Create /sapmnt/SID directories
This can be executed for DB instance, CI instance and other SAP instances.
Hope this helps.

Hi Harsha
Global host preparation is central instance in the distributed environment. It is install to server where is installed CI. Also you can there install DB but for better performance is recommended install DB to server B. Global host preparation also create OS user, required path etc.
