Updating Material Availability Data in R/3 Sales Order

Hi APO Gurus,

We have a requirement wherein we want to update Material Availability Data (MAD) to R/3 Sales Order from APO. We in GATP Back Order processing does not want use CPS and just want to update the MAD in R/3 Sales Order so rest of the calculation upto Delivery Date calculation in Sales Orders is performed at R/3 end.

So I want to know if we have any BADI/BAPI or Functional Module which will help us in updating MAD in R/3 Sales Order from APO BOP results.

Please advise,

Regards,

Rakesh Wade.

Hi Rakesh,

want to update Material Availability Data (MAD) to R/3 Sales Order from APO

Could you please elaborate a bit about this line ? What do you mean by "to R/3 Sales order" ? If you're doing the GATP in APO system, all the sales documents would be available in APO system. So, are you looking for some user exit within APO during the APO Scheduling to change the MBDAT as per your requirement ?

Please clarify this ?

Hi Babu,

Thanks for replying.

Yes we are having some issues with Route Scheduling in APO GATP (CPS). Hence we would like to update MBDAT field in R/3 Sales Order. This MBDAT in R/3 Sales Order should be updated with GATP Material Availabilty Data.

So do we have any object (like User exits) by which we can updated MBDAT field from APO to R/3.

Please advise.

Rakesh,

Have you really thought this out?

When you do ATP in APO (with or without BOP) route scheduling is also done in APO.  Route scheduling in ECC is turned off and ATP in ECC is turned off.

During ATP, the MAD is determined in APO in conjunction with route scheduling.  If you send across the MAD, but not the other dates (delivery date, goods issue date, loading date), you will inevitably have inconsistency in ECC (delivery date will not be logically consistent with the MAD).  An extreme example would be that it would be possible to have a MAD for a given sales order schedule line to occur AFTER the delivery date of that schedule line.

Normally, if you have '...some issues..." with route scheduling in SCM, you can either fix these issues, or you can, disable ATP in APO, or disable route scheduling, or etc etc etc.  Just copying MAD from APO into ECC will probably just raise more problems.
