Hello Experts,

I am currently modifying a smartform because when users print it,

some of the text is not aligned. So I am wondering if adjusting its windows

will also adjust the text in it. Is this possible? Help would be greatly

appreciated. Thanks a lot guys and take care!

hi ,

Adjusting the window size will not adjust its text.

You have to use style to allign your texts in a particular window.By default 'SYSTEM' style will be there. you can create your own paragraph, character formats and then by mentioning the style name in your Text->output options . you can get those formats and assign them to your text by selecting it.

hi

to allingn the text in smartforms you can follow different way..

1-->changing the paragraph and character format

2-->chenging the window allingment but don't prefer this if it is a preprinted form

3--> use the TEMPLATE.

using the templates u can allign the text whereever u want in window.. this is the goog feature in smartforms

i will suggerst u to create template--> withe nuber of cells u want. then for the insert texts(don't forget to give the row number and column number of the template in the output options of the text element use appropriate paragarph format.

i hope u can solve u r problem

Thank you guys for your replies. But I want to clarify some things.

Lets say I have 4 variables to be printed inside my table namely

Material description, entered quantity, received quantity and unit price.

So they must be printed this way:

Material E. quantity R. quantity Unit price

50 100

Enervon prime 5,000

Now, I am wondering on why does the 50 and 100 is not in-line with

'Enervon Prime' and '5,000'. I checked their paragraph formats and they

are all the same. Hope you could help me guys. Thank you and take care!

Hi,

Yes you can do that, but it will change all element (Text and Table ) in that windows. If you only what to change 1 Text, you can just change Paragraph Formats for that Text.

Here how to change Paragraph Formats in your smartform style:

1. Open your smartform.

2. Open Global Settings >> Form Attributes >> Select Output Options Tab

3. And you can see the Style that used in your smartform.

4. Open your Style.

5. Open Paragraph Formats and select your Paragraph (by double click on it) .

6. Chose Indent and Spacing Tab

7. Change Alignment.

8. Save and activate your Style.
