SAP PI7.31 IDOC_AAE - Optional IDOC

Hi

under SAP PI7.31 is this possible ?     I read a database and depending on the condition I will either create IDOC or not.   So the target IDOC are 0..1 (optional).   If I have created an "empty" IDOC message should this still be processd OK by Receiver IDOC adapter.

I know this worked in SAP XI3.0 I think that that SAP PI7.31 prevents this.   Do you know if this is possible ?

Hello,

If ur condition is not satisfied (which can be validated using Extended RD or RD)  then why don't u just ignore the receiver itself so that u can avoid executing ur idoc mapping?

Yes this is possible - except that I get a warning on the execution of message mapping about

Split mapping created no messages, cannot proceed. Review your mapping setup:

splitting to 0 messages is not allowed.

It will still work - not happy with it - so I might implement Amit's suggestion.
