Hi Vin,

Yes,It is possible to create alert in ID.

You will see Alert Rule there.

Open ID ,insert your Configuration Scenario details.

Add Consumer:-ALERT TO MAIL

After doing this go to Netweaver Admin Schedule the Job(take basis team help) and Insert the distribution list.

You will get notification.

Abhi

Hi,

Is it possible to create alert in Integration directory (ID) in SAP XI 3.0 (not in PI ) to get email notification when error trigger.

if you are in version XI 3.0 then you have to user classical alert configuration.

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.nw.wpc.runtime.docs/library/events/web...

again if you are looking to create alert rule in Integration Directory then it is not possible. that is only possible in 7.31 single or dual stack.

Muni.

Hello,

No, in XI 3.0 u cannot create alert rules in ID.

But, why don't u follow conventional method of creating alerts i.e. alert category (ALRTCATDEF) and Alert Rule (in RWB).

Yes am looking into it

previously i was worked in 7.1(i didn't work in xi.3.0) there we have alert rule in ID that is very easy to implement .

Please provide any doc which will give clear cut process related to XI.30 Alert configuration.

Hello,

SEARCH SDN (there is a step by step guide available something like - alert configuration step by step****).

BTW, apart from alert category creation, the process of alert configuration is same in both XI3.0 and PI7.1, so there are no drastic changes.

Thanks
